नेताजी के संदिग्ध देहांत पर कुछ मित्र चर्चा करते समय CIA, KGB, RAW, CBI के भूमिका में जाकर और न जाने कहाँ कहाँ से रिपोर्ट के हवाले निष्कर्ष निकाल दोषी भी स्थापित कर दिये लेकिन यह सब तथ्य शायद शिशिर दा के जानकारी में नहीं था ------------- “Since the fall of Burma, Netaji is believed to have been planning to move into Soviet territory to continue his struggle for Indian independence. While the Japanese Supreme Command in Tokyo did not look upon this idea favourably, certain highly placed Japanese military officers including Terauchi, the Japanese Supreme Commander in the South, wanted to assist Netaji in his future plans. A decision was taken at the cabinet meeting of the Provisional Government that Netaji should proceed to Tokyo on the 15th August 1945, accompanied by Habib-ur-Rahman, S.A.Ayer, Abid Hasan, Deb Nath Das and a few others. They left by plan for Tokyo and on the way halt at Bangkok and Saigon. At Saigon, Netaji was put on a heavy Japanese bomber plane carrying some Japanese army officers to Tokyo. As there was only one more seat available on the plane, Netaji took Habib-ur-Rahman with him leaving the rest to follow him. After leaving Saigon, they spent a night in Tourane in North Indo-China. On the 18th August, they flew in the same plane to Taiwan en route to Tokyo via Dairen in Manchuria. It was announced over the Tokyo radio on the 23rd August 1945 that the plane while taking off from Taihoku airport crashed, killing the Japanese General Shidei, the pilot and some others while Netaji was severely injured with extensive burns. It was further reported that Netaji passed away the same night at military hospital at Taihoku. According to Habib-ur-Rahman, Netaji’s remains were cremated at Taihoku and the ashes taken to Japan in the middle of September and deposited at the Renkoji Temple in the suburbs of Tokyo.” Written by Dr, Sisir Kumar Bose, a nephew of Netaji, participated in the freedom struggle and helped in organising an underground networks for INA.
