ॐ श्रीपरमात्मने नमः । PEOPLE DONT APPRECIATE OUR WORK. This is one of primitive complaint since humanity started dwelling on the planet. Many people even see this tendency in Kaikayi for banishment of Ram to forest. The interesting thing is everybody blames society for all evils. They say the society has rotten. They are saying as if they only are pious on the earth and all others here are just to destroy the planet. And everybody is saying this. Everybody has one inner complaint for the society that society lacks prudence, wisdom, discretion to appreciate the good works done by the individuals. Say the entire population of this planet is represented by A, B, C and D. Now it is amazing that all A, B, C, and D have same complaint. When A complaints, his reference is to B, C and D. Same way for B, C and D. And we too, find that there is indeed some fact in the complaint. Let us try to find out the chemistry working behind this phenomenon. There is a proverb in the Arabian that when God creates a man, and He is just to push him in this mundane world, He tells in his ear that hither to, He has never made a masterpiece like him and there is no possibility that He will ever be able to produce a person like him. And then he pushes him in the world. The amazing thing is, this He speaks in each one’s ear. So he or she moves on the earth, life long murmuring this song in his mind. Though he can’t tell this publicly, but he will always try to emphasize this indirectly in his every act. This is his ego. He is never prepared to accept the fact that any other individual on the earth has girt, skill, intellect, efficiency and efficacy as he has. Tejaswini will always boast that nobody will ever be able to make Dosa and Sambhar as she makes. So our ego prevents us to rightly appreciate the better work of others, and inferior works of our will shine to us as unparallel. We have fear in heart that if we tag others work better than ours, then people will stop taking note of us, and our ego will never allow us to do anything such where it is feared to be second to anybody else, because God has told him that he is the best of all. So this is reality. There is no way left, but you have to imbibe this reality. And the entire range of religious scriptures is here to cure this disease of humanity. That is why Krishna had to say in Gita: कमॅण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।2/47 “Your right is for action alone, never for the results. Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities.” Gita- 2/47. You are not the cause of the results of you activities. The results of your actions depends on so many dimensions. It is Nature that gives result of your actions. Satisfaction and appreciation of your action are also construed as the results of your actions. That is why Krishna immediately says: समत्वं योग उच्यते। 2/48. “Equanimity is called Yoga.” Gita-2/48. When you do the work absorb yourself in the work to that extent that you and work doesn’t remain two identifiable separate entities. When you go to destination, get lost in the road leading to the destination so much so that road itself becomes the destination plus. The work itself becomes result plus. When you are going to RTO for passing of your vehicle, you are paying the lifelong RTO tax at a time, so that you don’t have to go and pay tax every year. Same way when you do work, get pleasure of its doing so much so that you need not to see behind for its results. And the nature has inbuilt mechanism that when you leave results of your actions to Nature, you get them overwhelmingly. So never bother about your appreciation from people. The mechanism of the nature is purposefully made such that they can’t give you. It is so made just to motivate you on the path of Realisation. All provisions of nature are leading you to your Realisation only. हरिः ॐ तत् सत् । @ RAGHAV CHAUHAN@
