ছোট্ট রাসেলের শেষ আকুতি টলাতে পারেনি খুনীদের মন “আল্লাহ’র দোহাই আমাকে জানে মেরে ফেলবেন না। বড় হয়ে আমি আপনাদের বাসায় কাজের ছেলে হিসেবে থাকবো। আমার হাসু আপা দুলাভাইয়ের সঙ্গে জার্মানীতে আছেন। আমি আপনাদের পায়ে পড়ি, দয়া করে আপনারা আমাকে জার্মানীতে তাদের কাছে পাঠিয়ে দিন” মৃত্যুর আগে খুনীদের কাছে এই আকুতি ছিল জাতির জনক বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের সর্বকনিষ্ঠ সন্তান শেখ রাসেলের। তবে সেদিন রাসেলের এই আর্তচিৎকারে খোদার আরশ কেঁপে উঠলেও টলাতে পারেনি খুনী পাষাণদের মন। বঙ্গবন্ধু এবং তাঁর পরিবারের অন্যান্য সদস্যের মত এই নিষ্পাপ শিশুকেও পঁচাত্তরের পনেরই আগস্ট ঠান্ডা মাথায় খুন করা হয়েছিল। Killers Did Not Respond To Sheikh Russell’s Last Appeal For Gods sake dont kill me.
