ਗਿਆਨ ਖੰਡ ਮਹਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਪਰਚੰਡੁ ॥ ਤਿਥੈ ਨਾਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਕੋਡ ਅਨੰਦੁ ॥ gi-aan khand meh gi-aan parchand ॥ tithai naad binod kod anand ॥ in the spiritual wisdom domain, the divine wisdom of The Lord is at its peak ॥ by entering this domain, one enjoys the composite pleasure of varied musicals, stage plays and miraculous wonders ॥ ਸਰਮ ਖੰਡ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਰੂਪੁ ॥ ਤਿਥੈ ਘਾੜਤਿ ਘੜੀਐ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਅਨੂਪੁ ॥ saram khand kee banee roop ॥ tithai ghaarhat gharhee-ai bahut anoop ॥ in the domain of spiritual endeavor, the beauty of the soul is at its highest ॥ in this spiritual stage, the mind creates most wonderful and calm feelings of the soul ॥ ਤਾ ਕੀਆ ਗਲਾ ਕਥੀਆ ਨਾ ਜਾਹਿ ॥ ਜੇ ਕੋ ਕਹੈ ਪਿਛੈ ਪਛੂਤਾਇ ॥ taa kee-aa galaa kathee-aa na jaahi ॥ jay ko kahai pichhai pachhutaa-ay ॥ the exact narration of this domain cannot be expressed in words ॥ if one starts narrating, then he feels embarrassed by his incompetence to complete it ॥ ਤਿਥੈ ਘੜੀਐ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਮਤਿ ਮਨਿ ਬੁਧਿ ॥ ਤਿਥੈ ਘੜੀਐ ਸੁਰਾ ਸਿਧਾ ਕੀ ਸੁਧਿ ॥੩੬॥ tithai gharhee-ai surat mat man budh ॥ tithai gharhee-ai suraa sidhaa kee sudh ॥ here, the intuitive consciousness, the divine intellect and the understanding of the inner mind are shaped ॥in this domain, mind takes on the consciousness of the spiritual warriors, enlightened souls of deities and the spiritual perfectionists ॥36॥ (36th Pauree Japji Sahib) (Note; in the Japji Sahib, Guru Nanak Dev Ji has described five domains of the mind in a spiritual journey.
