Dear friends, With utmost sorrow, I wish to share with you the sad news of the passing away of Mr. Gyush Unnikrishnan, 29 years, s/o Mr. Unnikrishnan V Raman and Mrs. Geetha of Velaparambil House, Vallivattam P.O, Trichur District, Kerala 680123, at his residence in Mosman Park on the 6th of July. Mr. Gyush is survived by his wife Mrs. Krishnamani Raghavan from Mauritius. Mrs. Krishnamani is a recent migrant to Australia. Mr. Gyush’s mortal remains are at the Charles Gairdner Mortuary and arrangements are being made for repatriation to Kerala. Mr. Gyush only arrived in Australia from Kerala on the 27th of June and the two of them had very little friends and no relatives. Mrs. Krishnamani’s brother Krish has arrived from Mauritius yesterday and is taking care of his sister who is in a state of mental shock at present. Mr. Gyush’s parents and neighbours / friends are in touch with Mr. Sliju who is a neighbour of the family back home. The parents are from a village farming background and have requested assistance for arrangements and finance. The Consulate of India in Perth has kindly offered all help and some financial assistance from the Indian Community Welfare Fund. However more financing is required to meet the expenses of repatriation. I request all good hearted friends to come forward with contributions towards a fund being created for this purpose.
