ചാണ്ടിയുടെ ഭരണ പരിഷ്ക്കാരങ്ങൾ ....പുതിയത് The State Cabinet on Wednesday decided to sanction a monthly pension to all members of the Zamorin family in Kozhikode that had ruled the Malabar Coast before the British colonial rule of Malabar. Announcing this after the Cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister said that as many as 826 members of the family would get a monthly pension of Rs.2500 each as a special gesture. The Zamorin family had contributed much wealth for the progress of Kerala over centuries. This aspect had been taken into consideration in extending the special gesture to the royal descendents, Mr. Chandy said. The Zamorins had ruled the Malabar Coast from 12th to 18th century.
