කැලණිය විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ ඡායාරූප ශිල්ප ඩිප්ලෝමා පාඨමාලාව හත්වන වරටත් කැලණිය විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ, මානවශාස්ත්‍ර පීඨයේ ලලිත කලා අධ්‍යයන අංශය මගින් පවත්වාගෙන යනු ලබන ඡායාරූප ශිල්ප ඩිප්ලෝමා පාඨමාලාවේ හත්වන (07) කණ්ඩායමේ සමාරම්භක උළෙල 2015 ජනවාරි මස 18 වන දින කැලණිය විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ මානවශාස්ත්‍ර පීඨයේ, පීඨාධිපති මහාචාර්ය ලක්මන් සෙනෙවිරත්න මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් වාණිජ හා කළමණාකරණ පීඨ ශ්‍රවණාගාරයේ දී පැවැත්විණ. මෙම අවස්ථාව සඳහා ලලිත කලා අධ්‍යයන අංශයේ අංශ ප්‍රධාන මහාචාර්ය පැට්ටි්‍රක් රත්නායක මහතා, ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ කථීකාචාර්ය චන්ද්‍රසිරි බෝගමුව මහතා, ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ කථීකාචාර්ය ප්‍රියංකර රත්නායක මහතා ඇතුළු අධ්‍යයන අංශයේ ආචාර්ය භවතුන් සහභාගි වූහ. මෙම පාඨමාලාවේ සම්පත් දායකයින් ලෙස කටයුතු කරන ප්‍රවීණ ඡයාරූප ශිල්පී බර්ටි ගුණසේකර මහතා, ප්‍රවීණ සංස්කරණ ශිල්පී සහ දේශක සුදා ෂම්මුගරාජා යන අය විසින් විශේෂ කෙටි දේශන ඉදිරිපත් කළ අතර මහේෂ් ප්‍රසන්ත, හර්ෂ මධුරංග ජයසේකර, චමිල කරුණාරත්න, ප්‍රභාත් චතුරංග, බුද්ධික ප්‍රියංකර යන සම්පත් දායකයින් ද මෙම අවස්ථාවට සහභාගී විය. වසර හයක කාලයක් අඛණ්ඩව මෙම පාඨමාලාවේ සම්බන්ධීකාරකත්වය දැරුවේ ආචාර්ය උදිත ගයාෂාන් ගුණසේකර මහතා විසිනි. ෂටර් ආර්ටි සඟරාව නියෝජනය කරමින් එහි ප්‍රධාන සංස්කාරක උදය සමරතුංග සහභාගී වූ අතර නව සඟරාවේ සිට ඩිප්ලෝමා අපේක‍ෂකයින්ගේ ඡායාරූප ෂටර් ආර්ට් සඟරාවේ පළ කිරීමටත් ඡායාරූප රසවින්දනය උදෙසා විශෙAෂාංග කිහිපයක් හඳුන්වාදීමට ක්‍රියා කරන බව සඳහන් කළේ ය. ඡායාරූප ෙක‍ෂ්ත්‍රයේ ප්‍රවීණයන් රැසක් සහභාගී වන මෙම ඡායාරූප ශිල්ප ඩිප්ලෝමා පාඨමාලාවේ සම්බන්ධීකාරක ලෙස කටයුතු කරනු ලබන්නේ කථීකාචාර්ය උපුල් ජයන්ත රණේපුර මහතා විසිනි. The inaugural session of the 7th batch of students of the Diploma Course in Photography The inaugural session of the 7th batch of students of the Diploma Course in Photography conducted by the Department of Fine Arts was held on the 18 th of January at the Commerce and Management Studies Faculty Auditorium under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Prof. Lakshman Seneviratne. This event was graced by the Head of the Department of Fine Arts, Prof. Patrick Rathnayake. Mr. Chandrasiri Bogamuwa and Mr. Priyankara Rathnayake who are Senior Lecturers of the Department along with the other lecturers of the staff were also present at this event. The esteemed members of the resource team of this Diploma course, Mr. Berty Gunesekera, the famed photographer and Mr. Sutha Shanmugarajah, the editor cum lecturer, both veterans of their chosen fields, delivered speeches at this occasion. The other resource personnel of the Visiting Faculty such as Mr. Mahesh Prasanna, Mr. Harsha Maduranga Jayasekera, Mr. Chamila Karunarathne, Mr. Prabhath Chaturanga and Mr. Buddhika Priyankara were also present at this occasion. The coordinator of this Diploma course for the past consecutive six years had been Dr. Uditha Gayashan Gunesekera.
