කැලණිය විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ “උපනෙත ප‍්‍රතිබිම්බ කලා උළෙල” 17 වන වරටත් කැලණිය විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ නාට්‍ය හා රංග කලා හා ප‍්‍රතිබිම්බ කලා අධ්‍යයන අංශයේ ශාස්ත‍්‍රවේදී අවසන් වසර විද්‍යාර්ථීන් විසින් 17 වන වරටත් සංවිධානය කරන ලද “උපනෙත ප‍්‍රතිබිම්බ කලා උළෙල 2014” (Image Art Festival) හි සමාරම්භක උළෙල 2014 නොවැම්බර් මස 17 වන දින පස්වරුවේ කොළඹ ලයනල් වෙන්ඞ්ට් කලාගාරයේදී පැවැත්විණ. කැලණිය විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ මානව ශාස්ත‍්‍ර පීඨයේ පීඨාධිපති මහාචාර්ය ලක්ෂ්මන් සෙනෙවිරත්න මහතාගේ ප‍්‍රධානත්වයෙන් පැවති මෙම අවස්ථාවට, ප‍්‍රධාන ආරාධිත අමුත්තන් ලෙස ප‍්‍රවීණ සිනමාවේදී ආචාර්ය ඞී. බී. නිහාල්සිංහ මහතා සහ ප‍්‍රවීණ ටෙලිනාට්‍ය අධ්‍යක්ෂ ආනන්ද අබේනායක මහතා සහභාගී වූ අතර, ලලිත කලා අධ්‍යයන අංශයේ අංශාධිපති මහාචාර්ය පැට්ටි‍්‍ර‍ක් රත්නායක මහතා ඇතුළු අධ්‍යයන අංශයේ ආචාර්යභවතුන්, විද්‍යාර්ථීන්, ඡායාරූප ක්ෂේත‍්‍රයේ සහ රූපවාහිනී ක්ෂේත‍්‍රයේ ප‍්‍රවීණයන් රැසක් මෙන්ම දෙමාපියන් ද මෙම අවස්ථාව සඳහා සහභාගී වූහ. මෙම ඡායාරූප ප‍්‍රදර්ශනය 18 x 19 යන දෙදින ලයනල් වෙන්ඞ්ට් කලාගාරයේදී පැවැත්වීමට නියමිතය. “Upanetha” Image Art Festival 2014 The “Upanetha” Image Arts Festival, organized by the final year students of the Drama and Theatre and Image Arts Unit of the University of Kelaniya for the 17th consecutive time, commenced on the 17th November, 2014 at Lionel Wendt Gallery in Colombo. The chief guest of the opening ceremony was Prof. Lakshman Senevirathne, Dean- Faculty of Humanities and the guests of honor were the eminent cinematographer, Dr. D.B. Nihalsinghe, and the veteran film director, Ananda Abeynayake. Members of the academic staff of the Department of Fine Arts including its Head, Prof. Pattrick Rathnayake, professional photographers and students were present at this event. This exhibition will be held at Lionel Wendt on the 18th and 19th of November, 2014.
