කැළණිය විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ විශ‍්‍රාම ලැබූ ආචාර්යවරුන් අටදෙනෙකුගේ සේවය ඇගයේ කැළණිය විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ සේවය කොට 2015 ජනවාරි 14 වන දින සිට විශ‍්‍රාම ලැබූ ආචාර්යවරුන් අටදෙනෙකු වෙනුවෙන් සේවය ඇගයීමට සහ ඔවුන්ට සමුදීම සඳහා විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ ආයතන අංශය මඟින් සංවිධානය කළ නිල උත්සවය 2015 ජනවාරි මස 13 වන දින සමාජීය විද්‍යාපීඨ පරිශ‍්‍රයේදී පැවැත්විණ. කැළණිය විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ කුලපති ත‍්‍රිපිටක වාගීශ්වරාචාර්ය, මහෝපාධ්‍යාය, පණ්ඩිත, පූජ්‍ය වැලමිටියාවේ ධර්මකීර්ති ශ‍්‍රී කුසලධම්මාභිධාන කොළඹx හලාවත දෙදිසාවේ ප‍්‍රධාන සංඝනායක ස්වාමීන්ද්‍රයන්වහන්සේ සහ කැලණිය විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ උපකුලපති මහාචාර්ය සුනන්ද මද්දුම බණ්ඩාර මහතාගේ ප‍්‍රධානත්වයෙන් පැවැති මෙම අවස්ථාවට පීඨාධිපතිවරුන් ඇතුළු අධ්‍යයන හා අනධ්‍යයන කාර්යමණ්ඩලය සහභාගී වූහ. මෙලෙස විශ‍්‍රාම ලැබූ ආචාර්යවරුන් අතර නූතන භාෂා අධ්‍යයන අංශයේ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ මහාචාර්ය එස්. ටී. බී. අමුණුගම මහතා, පුස්තකාල හා විඥාපන විද්‍යා අධ්‍යයන අංශයේ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ මහාචාර්ය පියදාස රණසිංහ මහතා, ආර්ථික විද්‍යා අධ්‍යයන අංශයේ විඥාපක මහාචාර්ය කේ. යූ. අජිතා තෙන්නකෝන් මහත්මිය, මානව සම්පත් කළමනාකරණ අධ්‍යයන අංශයේ මහාචාර්ය ඞී. ආර්. දිසානායක මහත්මිය, උද්භිද විද්‍යා අධ්‍යයන අංශයේ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ මහාචාර්ය ඞී. එම්. සිරිසේන මහතා, රසායන විද්‍යා අධ්‍යයන අංශයේ මහාචාර්ය කේ. ඒ. එස්. පතිරත්න මහතා, ක්ෂුද්‍රජීව විද්‍යා අධ්‍යයන අංශයේ සහාය මහාචාර්ය සී. පී. කොඩිකාර මහත්මිය, රසායන විද්‍යා අධ්‍යයන අංශයේ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ කථිකාචාර්ය ආචාර්ය එල්. කේ. ජී. වික‍්‍රමසිංහ මහතා වූහ. Appreciating the services of eight retired academic staff members An official farewell was organized by the academic establishments division of the university to commemorate the services of eight academic staff members who served at the University of Kelaniya and who retired on 14th January 2015. This event was held on the 13th January 2015 at the Faculty of Social Sciences under the auspices of the Honourable Chancellor of University of Kelaniya, Thripitaka Vageshvaracharya, Panditha, Venerable Valamitiyawe Dharmakeerthi Shri Kusaladhammaabidhana thero – the Chief Prelate of the Colombo and Chilaw regions and the Vice-Chancellor of University of Kelaniya, Prof. Sunanda Madduma Bandara. Academic and non-academic staff of the university including the Deans participated in the event. Among the academics who retired were Senior Professor S.T.B. Amunugama, Department of Modern Languages, Senior Professor Piyadasa Ranasinghe, Library and Information Sciences, Professor Emeritus K.U. Ajitha Thennakoon, Department of Economics, Professor D.R. Dissanayake, Department of Human Resources Management, Senior Professor D.M. Sirisena, Department of Botany, Professor K.A.S. Pathirana, Department of Chemistry, Assistant Professor C.P. Kodikara, Department of Microbiology, and Senior Lecturer Dr. L.K.G. Wickramasinghe, Department of Chemistry.
