อินเดีย ส่งออกกุ้งมากขึ้น 150% July 4, 2013, 3:51 pm Undercurrent News India and China saw their year-on-year shrimp exports to the US rise rapidly, in May figures released by the fisheries department of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The southern Asian giant saw exports to the US increase by 150% year-on-year, to 7,528 metric tons. India become the second largest exporter of shrimp to the US in May, behind Ecuador. The news is however under the cloud of impeding countervailing duties to be imposed on India by the US. Chinese exports showed a 84.1% rise y-o-y, reaching 4,783t. Ecuador surpassed Thailand as May’s largest shrimp exporter to the US reaching 9,184t in 2013 compared to the Asian country’s figure of 9,093t in May 2012. The South American country’s percentage increase of y-o-y exports was 10.3%. Thailand has now been overtaken by a number of countries, falling 37.5% y-o-y to 5,682t. The figures demonstrate the continuing decline in trade from the south east Asian country due to early mortality syndrome. See dedicated page here. Thailand still has exported 35,572t of shrimp to the US between January and May 2013, more than any other country. This is followed by Ecuador and Indonesia. Indonesia saw an increase of 7.9% to 6,707t. Vietnam’s exports increased 26.8% to 3,704t, while Mexican exports slumped by 30.1% to 527t. A decline in the neighboring country’s trade follows reports that Mexican shrimp has been hit by disease. ที่มา undercurrentnews/2013/07/04/indian-shrimp-exports-to-the-us-increase-150/#.UdoPWPFhhP4
