เพลงท่าเตียน มีศักดิ์ นาครัตน์ Thar Tian – the song by Meesak Narkkha-Ratt, telling the legend of Thar Tian (ท่าเตียน, the no-tree port, or barren port). The place is called no-tree port because in the very very old days the giants waiting at the Temple of Dawn, on the Thonburi bank, got angry with those waiting at the Temple of Pho, on the Bangkok bank. It was because the Bangkok giants did not pay off the loan, and they dared the Thonburi giants to pick a fight with them at the bushes. After the fight, all the trees disappeared. Later, the area has become a ferry port and people still call it the no-tree port (ท่าเคียน). :D
