The company said: “They will be able to travel at a maximum of 70kph and will be sunlight-resistant, with special components for their glass, rubber, paint and cables.” The first batch of locomotives should be delivered by the end of this year, according to the Ethiopian Ministry of Transport. CNR is one of the largest train makers in China. In addition to locomotives and high-speed trains, it makes linear-motor subway vehicles and light-rail vehicles, as well as railway cranes and industrial machinery.
