– New York Times prints a story of a deaf 50-year New York Mets employee Tod Tillotson, a graduate of New York School for the Deaf, was written up in the New York Times. He has worked for the New York Mets for 50 years, the longest of all other employees. He is in the Special Services department. So important he is that when he is on vacation, the Mets has to find three people to do his work! He started his job at Shea Stadium, now demolished, and is now Citi Field. Said a friend – Tod has seen the birth and death of Shea Stadium. The biggest irony is that he was a New York Yankee fan before the Mets hired him. Tod had to suppress his love for the Yankees to continue his job with the Mets!
