– Ripples of Sound – when you screamed, I couldnt believe that you were so many years older than me I thought that primal urge had long since died inner ground-level truth drowned by outside ivy lies climbing like architecture to your Chicago skies when you screamed, I tried to leave but your soul shook my joints right out of their sockets you were like a come back to life dead lover in a locket and I was blown away, blown away that all we have in this world are waves light, sound, water and wind and its a passionate pleasure to be knocked off balance by something so much more forceful than malice the thing that we called love of life was a knife in a naked hand that cut the marionette strings and let you land on a broken limb soon out of a cast the last circle of a flight when night is near before you drop your landing gear it all just takes overcoming your fears... Im asleep in the moonlight, stretched on my bed keeping warm beneath the letters you send giving your heart is paying off why and when are on the mend youll get it all when it comes around love at long distance where wired hearts pound in waves of wide-eyed wonder and ripples of sound © Steve Skafte
