【 国民的歌手が不在… 】 9月8日早朝、ブエノスアイレスで開催されていたIOC総会で、2020年のオリンピック開催都市が東京に決まった。国中を挙げてお祝いムードに包まれている中で、ひとつの問題提起をしたい。それは、2020年の東京オリンピックのシンボル曲を歌う国民的歌手が、残念ながら現在の日本には不在であるということである。半世紀前なら、この手の歌とくれば「三波春生」と相場が決まっていた。『東京五輪音頭』しかり、大阪万博の『世界の国からこんにちは』しかりである。半世紀を経過した現在でも、幼少の頃に聞いたこの歌を私は口ずさむことができる。もちろん、現在の日本にもミリオンセラー連発の歌手はいる。AKB48もあれば、三波春生のど派手さだけを継承するのであれば、きゃりーぱみゅぱみゅでも構わない。でも、果たして、彼女たちが7年後の2020年の時点でもトップアイドルでいられるかどうか? と問えば、答えは「ノー」であろう。ましてや、50年後の日本歌謡界においてもレジェンドの地位を保ち続けているとは考えられない。はたして、皆さんは、現在と将来の日本で、誰が「国民的歌手」たり得ると思いますか? While mentioning the inside of a country and being wrapped in the congratulation mood, I would like to carry out one problem institution. Though regrettable, it means that the national singer who sings the symbol music of Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020 is absent in present Japan.
