小 兒 上 學 （第一天第一中） 這裡來了我的小兒子！ 一衝推開了我家的門！ 大步的去上他的新學校， 趾高氣昂心歡欣。 筆挺的制服閃亮的鞋， 高挺的胸脯修直的腿， 肩揹著一個新書包， 醒目的印著那名校的徽。 . 有的上班有的上學， 社區的大道上滿都是人。 今日是共同的開學日， 各校的學生各奔黌門。 女孩們向他頻致注目禮， 半是羞澀半是喜。 男孩們向他頻致斜目禮， 半是羡慕半是嫉。 有幾個大人止步看著他， 有一個少年學步跟著他， 有人鼓掌鼓勵他， 有人吹口哨臭他一下。 . 我看著他漸行漸遠 轉彎進入了市區的街， 仍站在自家門口 發愣加發呆如中邪。 我模糊的回憶起 自己的求學與求生路。 衷心希望他能夠 永遠這樣邁他的步。 我夢想返老還童， 時光倒流還能再回頭； 也嘗嘗這種滋味， 一路上同樣這麼走。 . 英文原詩附後 並請批評指正 . My Son Goes to School (First Day to First High) There goes my young son! dashing out of our yard gate, rushing to his new school, with strides proud and gay. His shoes shining, clothes stiff, chest thrusting, legs straight; carrying a school bag, wearing a school badge, with the vivid insignia of most honorable grade. There are a multitude of students, in the community’s main street, going to their multifarious schools. It is the mutual opening day. Girls cast admiring glances at him, coyly and covertly. Boys cast recognizing glances at him, contemptuously but covetously. Men stop walking to watch him. One mimics and follows him. Some clap to cheer him. One whistle to sneer him. I watch him going, fast, afar, finally away; as he rounds the corner, turns into the city street. Still I stand there, transfixed at the doorway; as I dimly recollect, foolishly wish and dream. I wish he may walk in that fashion forever, remember my own school boy days; dream of going back to that age, re-relishing that gaiety; walking in that manner on all my way.
