殘留衣物釋放致癌物‧三手煙比二手煙更毒 (RESIDUAL CLOTHING RELEASE THIRD-HAND SMOKE CARCINOGENS MORE TOXIC THAN SECOND-HAND SMOKE) （美國‧華盛頓23日訊）常說吸“二手煙”比“一手煙”危害更大，但你是否知道“三手煙”禍害更甚於“二手煙”？ 三手煙所指是吸煙後殘留在衣服、地氈、牆壁及皮膚等的有害物質。美國加州勞倫斯‧柏克萊國家研究所最近一項研究首次發現，人類吸入三手煙後對DNA細胞造成損害。由於這些化學物能隱伏於家居，並釋出致癌物質，禍害隨時高過二手煙。 研究人員早前分別在兩間吸煙室內放有紙條，用作收集暴露於5支香煙約20分鐘的急性樣本，以及在196天內暴露在香煙258小時的慢性樣本，其中35小時會讓該吸煙室通風。 研究發現，慢性樣本內含有的化學物比急性樣本更多，同時對DNA造成嚴重影響。在暴露於香煙前的首個小時，慢性樣本殘留在紙條上的化學物，已能對人類細胞造成0.4%的損害，其後3小時更急升10倍，反映三手煙的累積影響較為顯著。該項研究結果早前刊登於科學期刊《Mutagenesis》。 這是首次發現三手煙能誘導有機體突變，而部份殘留化學物更含有致癌物質。這些化學物通常殘留在衣服或地氈，因此對經常於地上爬行的小孩特別危險。 早前有研究發現，即使吸煙者搬走，這些殘留物仍能於逾兩個月後在寓所的灰塵及地板表面被發現，而一般吸塵及洗刷未能有效減低其數量。這次研究報告指，若要徹底清潔，勤換地氈及為牆壁髹油才是上策。 （星洲日報／國際） Third-hand smoke is the smoke residue after referred to in the clothes, carpets, walls and skin and other harmful substances. ‧ California, Lawrence Berkeley National Institute recently a first study found that the human hand smoke inhalation three cells after DNA damage.
