注意: 就算太陽花學運已退議場了, 人民還在抗議中. Taiwans pro-democracy and pro-environment protests continue. Last night, 11 activists were dragged away from the Legislative Yuan by riot police who reportedly denied their rights to immediate medical and legal attention. This was sparked by a broader move to support the 73 year-old democracy activist Lin Yi-Hsiung, who is on indefinite hunger strike to protest the widely unpopular but still ongoing construction of Taiwans 4th nuclear plant. In 1980, while a political prisoner, Lins 7 year-old twin daughters and mother were stabbed to death while their house was under 24 hour secret police surveillance. No one was ever charged. This atrocity happened one day after his wife reported Lins appalling prison conditions to Amnesty International. Lets not let anything like this happen again in Taiwan. Stay tuned to Taiwan Voice, Sunflower Movement 太陽花學運, and 黑色島國青年陣線 (Chinese/中文) for ongoing updates.
