英文自傳(最後一段未完成)： I studied physics before the age of 30, hoping that I would have become a great scientist like Einstein. When studying in the Department of Physics in National Tsing-hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, I was a hard-working student therefore I graduated with the fourth grade in my class with the total marks of 84.15%. I also got the academic achievement award once. Moreover, in my third year I got the full scholarship for the Canada-Taiwan Exchange Student Program which supported me to study in the University of Toronto in Canada during 2001-2002. After graduation I went to the graduate School of Microelectro-mechanical System (now called Institute of NanoEngineering and Microsystems) in NTHU. However I found that it was not suitable for my interest, therefore I transferred to the Department of Physics in National Chiao-tung University in Taiwan. In the Institute my supervisor was Dr. Meng, Hsin-Fei, under whose supervision I was studying the topic of high efficient phosphorescent PLED with the polymers based on Iridium metal complexes. I participated in three journal article works, including Physical Review B, 74, 245211(2006), Applied Physics Letters, 90, 013504 (2007), and Synthetic Metals, 158, 287 (2008). After master’s degree I got the full scholarship of Nanotechnology in Taiwan International Graduates Programs (TIGP) in Academia Sinica in Taiwan. Because Academia Sinica are not officially and lawfully allowed to grant a PhD degree therefore for the administrative purpose I registered in the Department of Physics in National Taiwan University in Taiwan. My dissertation advisor was Dr. Yia-chung Chang, a distinguished fellow and (at the time) Director of Research Center of Applied Science in Academia Sinica. Under his supervision I studied the properties of III-V (e.g. GaAs) and group IV (e.g. Si) nanocrystals (ranging from 7nm to 13nm in diameter), including phonon vibrations, electronic band-gap variations with sizes, applications of the group theory on reducing the large-dimension matrices in calculation, and theoretical calculations of Raman spectra based on the model of bond-polarizability approximation. The research aimed at understanding the basic principles of theoretical properties of nanocrystals and we also compared the calculated Raman spectra with the experimental measurements. The results matched quite well. We also found that if we had a sample of the nanocrystals whose sizes are almost identical, we may find Raman peaks at the range of 200 cm-1 to 300 cm-1. However, in reality since our nanocrystal samples usually have size distributions, therefore the peaks in the range smear out in the measurement. Generally speaking, I wrote computer codes with FORTRAN and MAPLE, and afterwards ran the program on UNIX workstation in the facility. The commercially available software called Materials Studio (CASTEP) was also used to calculate some properties of the materials. After 30 years old I started to study law attributed to the land disputes between my family and neighbors. In the beginning, I studied the statutory superficies, right to pass adjacent land, and the procedures of different instances, including filing a rehearing action. For example, I have profoundly studied the proceedings procedure of filing the counterclaim in the court of the first instance, determination of the value of claims, which is the most important at the beginning of every action because it is highly related to decide with which proceeding procedure the action should be guided, and it is also concerned that if the case can appeal to the Supreme Court. Furthermore, I am deeply infatuated with the limitations written in the Article 446 and 447 in our Taiwan Code of Civil Procedure, which are described as “no amendment or addition of claims may be made, nor additional means of attack or defense shall be presented in the court of the second instance.” Even for now I take the two articles quite often to prevent the opposing party from filing additional claims and attack or defense in the pre-trial proceedings. It not only clarifies the subject under dispute but also simplifies the case. Most importantly, the Articles somehow provide tricks that forbid the opposing party from making factually correct, but legally prohibited claims (or means of attack or defense) in the second instance. By doing so I enjoy watching the opposing party to be embarrassed and perplexed. Often, I write complaints and most of the paper works for the reference to my lawyers. For some reason, although I am a complete ignoramus while it comes to the knowledge of law, the lawyers of the opposing party misidentified me as a master in law after reading my complaints and allegations. In order to improve my accomplishment in law, from Sep. 17, 2011 to Jan. 5, 2013 I entered the law school of Professional and Continuing Studies in National Taiwan University where I took 24 credits of law courses, including the Civil Code, the Code of Civil Procedure, the Criminal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure, administrative law, commercial law, intellectual property law, and Compulsory Execution Law. Right now I have been studying law in a wide range for the purpose of the bar exam and patent attorney exam. In the NTU law school I once helped my classmate to make an application in writing for reconsideration of the non-prosecution ruling in the criminal investigation, successfully persuading the chief public prosecutor of the higher court to rescind the original ruling and remand the case to the original office of the prosecutors to continue investigation. In addition, in the proceedings in the appellate court, as a victim, I once rebuked harshly against the designated judge for her inappropriate interrogation to the witness. As a result, I effectively convinced the collegiate panel to bring in a verdict of guilty to the defendants after a five-minute closing statement for the victim. I also train myself how to move the court to subpoena the documentary evidence from a government agency. For example, I had an experience to move the Taipei High Administrative Court to subpoena the application documents of Construction Permit under a Hsinchu County public officers possession. After examining the documents of a formidable range of volumes, also referring to the relevant building acts, I eventually unraveled the relationships between the building height and the width of the front road. This led to a positive reverse of the declining tendency in the law case. Owing to the serious conflicts with my advisor on the dissertation during my PhD study, which I believe that my PhD advisor had done something unethical in his former publications, I could not continue my study and did not get my PhD degree. Afterwards I published my personal studies on arXiv:1103.4833v1 [cond-mat.mtrl-sci] 24 Mar 2011, including some explanations for the occurrence of the conflicts, with hope of providing the research evidence and study objects for future generations. As for the criminal proceedings of the professors from Academia Sinica (including the President of the Academia Sinica) who injured my reputation, the District Prosecutors have made a non-prosecution ruling. I have been setting forth my reasons for dissatisfaction to the public prosecutor general of the immediate superior Court to review the original ruling. In addition, for the civil proceedings the court of the first instance has made a nonsuit against my pleading while I am appealing to the appellate court. For the present conclusions of my life journey, I have been finding that I am skilled at the following forte. First, I have good memory, even better for the short-term memory. I am interested in various types of knowledge with excellent control of vocabulary words. This allows me to read a large amount of information in a short time, quickly finding out where the problems are in order for the rapid interactions with the unexpected situations. Secondly, I perform extremely well under stress, and I am capable of dealing with simultaneous challenges and clashes while I vastly enjoy in the pleasure and excitement the pressure and conflicts can ever bring to me. Thirdly, I am a born orator, which means that I use rhetoric and logical statements to convince people. I can speculate on and penetrate through the opponent’s mind just simply by his minute movements of gestures and facial expressions. It obviously favors me of understanding the real intentions and ideas of the opposing party for maneuvering.
