非常精彩的回應！ Terri Stephenson: I think its a great deal of the problem, and I speak from experience. There was a time when kids had respect for parents, teachers, authority figures in general. Parents took more interest in their childs education and wanted to be part of straightening out problems before grades were affected. That doesnt happen much anymore. Somewhere along the way, the emphasis shifted to what kids WANT rather than whats best for them. Im not sure what parents hope to accomplish by doing this. In my opinion it only reinforces the idea that kids are free from personal responsibility because whatever failures or trouble they experience, its always someone elses fault. And, yes, the quality of teachers will decline because the truly serious and dedicated ones wont waste their time on this charade of teaching.
