강우림 [Wood working] 오늘 피스에서 마지막으로 소개드릴 것은 한국의 젊은 작가로 활동중인 강우림 씨의 작품입니다. 그는 홍익대학원 목조형 가구과 석사 과정을 수료하고 기능성에 예술성으르 가미한 가구를 만들고 있습니다. 그의 작품에는 분명한 색깔이 느껴지는데, 언뜻 아르누보 양식을 연상시키기도 합니다. 그도 그럴 것이 그의 작품은 주로 잎사귀, 깃털, 비늘 등의 자연물에서 그 모티브를 얻어, 유기적인 곡선을 주로 사용하기 때문입니다. 그의 작업물은 대체로 목재로 이루어지는데, 학부때부터 자연스럽게 사용해 오던 목재가 제게 있어 다른 재료에 비해 좋은 가변성을 가지고 있기 때문. 그리고 동시에 그 따뜻한 질감이 마음에 들기 때문 이라고 그는 이야기합니다. 최근에는 난, 여성의 바디라인에서 모티브를 얻어 작업을 했고, 모든 작업은 커다란 덩어리를 일일이 조각하는 방식으로 완성되었습니다. 더 많은 사람들에게 작품을 알리고 싶다는 그. 앞으로도 그의 작품을 기대해봅니다 :) 순서대로 Black but beauty l Furl the wings l Furl the wings12 l like a wind l moon dancer l perfume l Ran Console Table l Ran Floor Lamp 1 l she thought me how to love2 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Woorim Kang [Wood working] He completed a masters degree in Hongik university, and he creates an aesthetic and functional furniture with his craftsmanship. His work has a distinct color and i think It reminds the Art Nouveau style because of its organic curves which is obtained from nature object such as leaves, feather, and scales. He is primarily working with wood because wood is a good material for variability. and i like its warm, natural texture he said. recently, he presented the work achieved in the motif of the female body lines. and all his works are made by carving a large wooden chunks. he talked that he want to show his work for more people, and we look forward to his next work.
