Dear Dr HanWoo Park, The “National Center of Science and Technology Evaluation”, founded according to the Decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 831 from July 19, 2011, regularly organizes the evaluation and reviewing of Kazakhstani scientific community’s research proposals. The Center invites you to participate in peer-reviewing process of technical and scientific projects submitted to Grant Funding of research proposals 2015-2017. If you agree to review please mark proposals by your research area from list of proposals (find attached list of research proposals we thought might interest you and full list of all available proposals) and send me as soon as possible. The cost of peer reviewing of one research proposal is $250 US dollars. One Expert can review no more than 10 proposals but there is no limit for indicating favoured proposals in the list. The time given for reviewing one research proposal will be agreed with experts afterward. The deadline for 10 research proposals is 2 week. Let me briefly explain our Organizations peer-reviewing process. One project will be evaluated by 3 independent experts. - Evaluation system based on 4 basic criteria. For each criteria, a checklist of central questions is given so that a reviewer could cover them in his comments (Evaluation form) - After, three experts will be asked to reach a consensus about the budget of the project (also in case of considerable disagreement between the scores and opinions of experts).
