Coach Shanan Malones squad got the job done against Denver D, winning 107 to 96. The 107 points Watts in your Wallet scored set the high mark for the league this week. The victory makes it ten in a row for Watts in your Wallet, bringing their record to 10 - 0. The loss drops Denver Ds record to 4 - 6. Watts in your Wallet had a so-so start on Sunday morning. Hakeem Nicks didnt make his coach proud this week, scoring only 4 points. Nicks might be heading back to the waiver wire after getting picked up before this game. Meanwhile, Denver D were showing Coach Malone how its supposed to be done. Brandon Marshall carried the water, scoring 25 points. Marshall’s caught TDs from two different quarterbacks, catching a first quarter touchdown from Jay Cutler and then a fourth quarter touchdown from Josh McCown. Denver D also got a solid effort from the Bengals Defense/ST (14 points above expected). The Bengals havent been messing around recently, performing better than any other starter over the last three weeks. Going into Sunday afternoon, our projections had Denver D comfortably ahead (they had an 87% chance of winning). However, that was before the rest of Coach Ryan Lees squad decided to go on vacation. Cam Newton was the worst of them, scoring 21 points fewer than he was expected to, which was enough to give Watts in your Wallet the victory. Denver D better be able to put their loss to Watts in your Wallet behind them and refocus, because their next game is against the more challenging worst team ever.
