$94.00 sizes 8 1/2-13 1/2. This beautifully detailed Australian Silver Jubilee Coin celebrated the queens reign of 25 years, hence the silver part of the name. It is made of copper-nickel and is very tough. History behind the Coin: The Silver Jubilee of Elizabeth II marked the 25th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth IIs accession to the thrones of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and other Commonwealth realms. It was celebrated with large-scale parties and parades throughout the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth throughout 1977, culminating in June with the official Jubilee Days, held to coincide with the Queens Official Birthday. The anniversary date itself was commemorated in church services across the land on 6 February 1977, and continued throughout the month. (source- Wikipedia) 1977 marked the 25 year anniversary of Queen Elizabeths accession to the throne and the Royal Australian Mint decided to celebrate with the release of this commemorative 50 cent coin, which was issued into general circulation and was also finished to proof standard for collectors. The Silver Jubilee was a momentous occasion, which saw celebrations take place around the world, particularly in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and other nations of which Elizabeth II is Queen or Head of State. During the jubilee year the Queen and Prince Phillip made a number of trips including a tour of Australia. This can cause a greenish tint on your finger where the ring sits but is not harmful. To reduce this happening, I apply a layer of polymer coating to each ring before sending it out. This will act as a temporary barrier and help prevent this event. A coating will need to be reapplied (as wear happens and is needed) and you can use clear top coat nail polish. (I prefer to use Hard as Nails by Sally Hansen as it seems to last longer than other polishes I have tried.) https://etsy/listing/196875806/striking-australian-silver-jubilee-coin?
