(Prince George, VA) –Prince George County Police Announces Promotions Due to employee retirements, and department restructuring, the Prince George County Police Department recently tested for promotions for the positions of Lieutenant and Sergeant. The participating officers were subjected to a written exam from an independent testing company, and an oral interview panel comprised of supervisors from other agencies. Other considerations included officer’s past evaluations and seniority points. Chief Ed Frankenstein is pleased to announce that the following officers were promoted effective July 1st, 2013. Sergeant Sean Moore and Sergeant Michael Taber were promoted to the position of Lieutenant. Both Lt. Moore and Lt. Taber will be midnight shift commanders on opposite shifts. Four officers were promoted to the position of Sergeant. Sergeant Earl Crawford will head up the Community Policing Unit, while Sergeants Noel Watson, Chad Eilert, and Jonathan Hamby will serve as supervisors on a patrol shift. County leaders to include Chief Ed Frankenstein, the Board of Supervisors, and County Administrator, Mr. Percy Ashcraft, would like to congratulate the officers on their new positions and wish them continued success serving the citizens of Prince George County.
