#RAOK 23. Today I made a 100 mile round trip trek, from Queen Creek, to drop off donations at Fresh Start in Phoenix. This is a non-pro that helps women with getting a fresh start after falling on hard times. I rallied some friends to see if they had anything to contribute and a few donated their professional womens clothing, shoes and accessories, which filled my car full. I picked up a friend along the way, as I needed help unloading everything with my 22 month old in tow. When I dropped off the items I shared that not only was Fresh Start high on my list of places to give to, but that I was apart of the #gilbert23 RAOK movement. I got rather teary when I told her, and she did too, and thanked me for the good for the women in need, and in remembrance of the puppy souls. Afterwards I treated my co-pilot to lunch at Snooze, where I left our unsuspecting server a big tip, much bigger than normal, but it was a final act in this movement. Ive truly enjoyed spreading kindness, compassion, and love, in honor of the 23 puppy souls the past few weeks. To have been on a mission to spread the message has really changed me to only strive to do more, to show my daughter what giving looks like, whether donations of valuables, monetary or time, to keep doing #RAOK small or big, and to keep fighting for the #gilbert23 until justice is served. Thanks to those whom began this group, and for all the supporters whom have been spreading random acts all over. Ive learned about many organizations from this group, and will do more on the animals perspective, as well where others needs require my attention and support.
