~The grandloves are all bedded down....Abbie is out like a light, and Blane is always ready to stay up late with Nonnie and talk. Every few minutes he hugs me tight and says Nonnie I just missed you so much Nonnie I love you..... My heart can barely contain it. I just love sitting here gazing at them. A little while ago I heard a sweet little voice say Nonnie, I am hungry. Me: What are you hungry for sweetheart boy? Blane: M&Ms. Me: Well baby it is very late, and we need to be asleep. Blane: but I really am hungry Nonnie. Me: Would you like to have a Peanut butter and jelly sandwich? Blane: No Maam, just M&Ms. Me: What about some Spinach and Sardines? Blane: Nonnie, I dont know what Sar-Geens are, but that sounds nasty. Me: You do not know what Sardines are? Blane: No maam, but I think it is fish? Me: You are correct, Sardines are fish, and for that you shall have M&Ms. Yes, M&Ms at almost midnight. You see, I know how precious these moments are. These fleeting moments in time when a few M&Ms and hug from Nonnie will solve everything in his world. ~Sitting at the table with my five year old grandson eating M&Ms and discussing sardines and sign language.... ~Life doesnt get any better than this!
