This movement is not about religion, not about conquest, not about race, Catalans dont even have an army, and they dont want one... This is not one of those bloody European revolution or ethnic conflicts that we see on the news, this is a people who want nothing more than to be themselves in their own land. This six minutes tells it all. ~ This is an example of a passionate and peaceful movement by the peoples of an ancient culture who identify themselves not as Spanish but as CATALANS. In this video, you will see that Catalans are so much like us. They have the same hopes and dreams as Americans. To have a good job, clean water, a comfortable home, to raise a family, be at peace and that their children have a better life. You will see many Catalan people and you will see the food as well. As this video shows, they have supporters (like me) all over the world. They have their own culture, language, way of life that is not Spanish. These people are primarily in the Pyrenees and Western Pyrenees foothills, but this culture also extends into the Eastern Pyrenees of Southern France as well.
