#ThrowbackTuesday: This was where it all started for me, my first APSA experience ever! I was a FUNcilitator! I still remember the day and the work parties that led up the event. I remember thinking ‘Uh… Why is everyone in APSA so nice?’, ‘Wait… its all student initiated and programmed?’, and ‘Hold up… you reach out to HOW many underserved high schools and it’s all free for the students?!” I look back at this picture and it reminds me of how much I’ve grown since last year, as a person and as a student leader, and it all started with Lilianne peer-pressuring me to be a funcilitator. :) And the best part is meeting all the amazing high school students. This was, by far, the most rewarding experience because it was so empowering to see students take charge of their own education in a world where people are constantly saying, No, you cant.
