09-21-14 MAC FACTS: In 2012 Paul joined the list of long-time performers from the rock era who would record and release an album of songs best known as “from the Great American Songbook”. Alongside songs written by the likes of Harold Arlen, Johnny Mercer, Irving Berlin and others, Paul composed two originals for the project titled KISSES ON THE BOTTOM. One of them was performed on the Grammy Awards show from 2012: “My Valentine”, an ode to the love that he and his wife Nancy Shevell share. He has dedicated this song to her in concerts. Not your ordinary “silly love song” by Paul, it definitely plays out along the theme of the great classics of the American songwriters. Paul’s versatility in writing has led him to compose in the styles of disco, R & B, Hard Rock, alternative Rock, Pop, classical, swing, and jazz arrangements and standards among others.
