1:0 PROBLEMS IN THE EXAMINATIONS. INTRODUCTION: A problem is something avoidable in our life. Anything that blocks your plan to work efficiently is a problem. It is very important to deal with this issue so as to make our plans go smoothly. What I have tried to do is to make a self-research on the problems facing many candidates (at any level). This paper consists mainly of psychological problems and consultancies, since other problems are just social ones. What I need is to keep you aware of what to do before sitting for examinations. According to Kabanga’s principle of life, “Something is better than nothing”. 1.1 PANIC OR LOSS OF CONFIDENCE: This problem normally faces the candidates who are not satisfied with what they get/have. CONSULTANCY: Before sitting for the examinations, make sure that you perform the following; i. Make your work short and clear. ii. Engage yourself in conversation with your friends. iii. Do not think of previous results (especially bad results). iv. Take a shower before getting in the examination room. v. Conduct a short prayer. 1.2 THE HASTE: This problem normally faces those candidates who are careless, that’s who do things quickly without surveillance. CONSULTANCY: Don’t take hurry even though the examination seems to be difficult to you. Do the following after getting your examination paper; i. Take time to read the questions. ii. Select the question on priority. 1.3 OVER CONFIDENCE: This problem faces those students who regard themselves as bright, hence they make each and everything possible while practically is not so. CONSULTANCY: Don’t underestimate everything before you have the fact. Before sitting for exams, do the following; i. Read thoroughly. ii. Don’t think of previous results (especially good results). 1.4 MISUNDERSTANDING OF THE QUESTIONS: Due to lack of getting the concept of a question, some candidates do make blunders on answering the questions. CONSULTANCY: Don’t answer the questions before you have the fact, so do the following; i. Take enough time to read questions. ii. Look for key words. iii. Avoid comparison with similar questions. 1.5 MISREPRESATATION: Misunderstanding the instructions of the questions make students failure to answer what they have been asked to. p.t.o *** If you like it I will sent to you a full 3 pages copies (free of charge).***
