1/18 * Saturday Post* - Read Underneath for the purpose of this post BBG/Snatch Work 1) 15 minutes to establish a 1RM Snatch. Minimize attempts and be precise with your technique Strength 12 minutes to establish a 3rm Front Squat. ~Goal: increase load over the last two weeks. In between attempts 3x8 super mans or back extensions. Rest as needed between attempts Conditioning: Open Workout 12.1 Complete as many reps as possible in 7 minutes of: Attached I will give movement patterns, but first the reason for this post is that we will be attempting to raise funds for a fellow CrossFitter that was injured competing in a competition last week. Kevin Ogar an athlete and coach from Denver, Co was severely injured suffering a spinal cord injury due to a barbell in competition. One of our fellow athletes Kelly Giraudo is a colleague with Kevins aunt. What we will simply try to do is get you the athletes to donate funds for burpees tomorrow. (I.e. 50 cents a burpee or 20 cents or a flat donation). Really anything will help as Mr. Ogar was uninsured. What we will do with the funds is write a check for the amount collected and give it directly to the family through Kelly to make sure all 100% donations/proceeds go directly to Kevin. As a CrossFit community I think it is important to come together and do what we can to help. Burpees: movement parameters This workout begins from a standing position. The Athlete will move from flat on the ground to touching an object with both hands that is 6 inches above their max reach. Score is total reps completed. We will jump touching an object as long as space provides. We will run more than one heat if necessary and use each other as counters. Get a goal in mind and shoot for it, attack it efficiently.
