1) A molestation happens in the Jadavpur University (JU) campus, West bengal. 2) The JU Vice Chancellor (VC) and the authorities do nothing because of course the one molested must have been drunk or wearing skimpy clothes and thus naturally invited what happened. 3) The students start protesting peacefully outside the VCs house by painting and playing musical instruments and denying entry or exit to the premises till a fair enquiry is initiated. 4) VC claims that students are trying to kill him. (Abe gaandu dimaag toh laga! This is not the French Revolution and you are not Louis XVI. These students were using art as a form of protest! If they wanted to use violence, you would have been violated already.) 5) Police and Trinamool Congress goons attack students, molest women. 30-40 students hospitalized, an equal number put in jail. Moral of the Story: VCs everywhere are morons who enjoy too much power over the students. This power is representative of the states power over the public. Any legitimate registering of protest by a student mass body is seen as a threat to this order of things. In retaliation, the state will molest, beat up and imprison protesters in the name of maintaining order. Nobody seems to give a shit because student log toh aise hi drug wrug karke aur daaru peeke kalesh karte rehte hain bhaiya. Please sign the petition and share the links. Tell people what is happening. Something as little as sharing a link has huge potentials of mobilization. You have no idea how much it would mean to the students protesting in JU who feel isolated right now if people from all over the country show solidarity, even if only from their computer screens.
