1 Kings 17v9-16 From the scripture God commissioned Elijah to go into the unknown. Elijah didn’t know the plan God set out for him but he had faith in God. He trusted God with the instruction given unto him Similarly to Elijah God entrusted you (Bishop and First Lady) to us. You didn’t hesitate to go into the unknown and do what God has spoken unto you. We know, I know that it took a lot of courage, a lot of effort and a lot of sacrifices to bring this church and congregation Adullam Assemblies to where it is today. There were hard times, difficult times but through it all you stood firm and kept the momentum. We want to thank you for that. Nothing will ever compare to all the sacrifices you’ve shown towards us One of the pre-read scriptures speaks about how the widow gathered sticks and it tells me that the widow experienced a great deal of poverty in her life. That is synonoum to us who had a void in spirit, but you came and uplift us and brought life into that deadness and emptiness. You came and put us into a mode of thirsting for the Word and in growing spiritually. God knew we needed someone like you in our lifes Elijah commanded the widow to serve him first. To give the bread unto him first before her son and herself would partake and today we want to give you first so that the Word that came from God which Elijah spoke unto the woman can also apply to us but in return I want to speak that same blessing over your lifes: May the flower in your bin never be used up, and may your jar of oil never runs dry, In the Name of Jesus Vandag is dit vir my n eerbare voorreg om u te bedank namens die Vroue van Krag, kerkraad en gemeente vir die opofferings, vir die raad gee en net vir die daar wees.
