1. National Disaster Response Force has rescued 50,815 people from flood affected areas of Srinagar up till now. 2. NDRF Medical teams in Srinagar have treated approx. 7,000 patients till now. In continuation of the post disaster despatch of essential supplies, today i.e 19.9.14, 50 MT milk powder has been airlifted. 3. To provide relief to the flood ravaged J&K, up till now 12.6 lakh food packets, three lakh biscuit packets, 392.13 tonnes ready to eat food, namkeen, bread etc. have been airlifted. Besides this 80 MTs milk powder, 17,000 litres milk and 11.27 lakh litre water bottles and sachets have been airlifted and 1,19,500 litres water has been despatched by train. In addition, 2000 tents, 1,13,740 blankets, 500 Mobile chargers, 3450 solar lanterns, 1000 kitchen sets and total 36 RO System having capacity of 11 lakh litres of potable water have been sent to the valley. 4. NDMA has sought the assistance of corporate sector for tents, blankets and medicines which will be required in large quantity once water starts receding post draining out of the flood waters. .
