10-20-14 World Transformation Movement, Founder: DEAR JEREMY GRIFFITH! Hola mon Ami! World Transformation is a Tall Order, especially achieving the Peace immemorially dreamt, but as yet to be, if ever, fully realized. How many wars wreaking havoc in blood and bone as we write? How many lethal enmities lurk between creeds and claimed estates? How change the anatomy of the Machine wherein all flesh find niche and security, as is, in the only construct weve known, in the only thing that seems to work, so entrenched? Were aware of the Contract: our Soul for roads, electricity, and indoor plumbing; but accept it as Simply Writ, since what choice does one have but to raggedly run the hamster wheel daily to keep it all going? And that with a meager carrot at the end, if anything? And so... What Care I for The Rest of This World With This Rock in My Shoe? Gimme a roof, my mate, my allowance of daily bread, dammit, and gimme CIRCUS! --- that I may get the hell out of this hamster life to dream in other worlds, other vicarious lives. Fortunately, all these problems are psychologically rooted. As an Interstellar Entity, in the guise of a broken down eccentric old man, my specialty is Planetary Renovation. Unfortunately, not one Earthling as yet seems concerned enough about their future to require the service I can so effectively provide. Have you ever seen a time-lapse overview into a petri dish, where as the spore grows, the polka-dot expanding, how a dark ring emerges around it as it expands, ever thickening, until the culture comes to a dead standstill, and perishes, with room for further expansion still available, and oodles of nutrient left untapped? Its inhabitants passed its refuse, its garbage, head over head and dropped it just outside the community. As this refuse continues to accumulate, and continued to be pushed out by the growing population, it eventually becomes impassable, the life within completely walled off, strangled by its pollution. One really has to wonder from on high if this species is any more intelligent than those silly bacilli... Lets build our abodes below sea-level! Let us lay our eggs on a fault-line! But I havent abandoned all hope for the habitues of your fragile little habitat yet. Id hate to see it caught like a deer in the headlights of whats even now careening around the bend. And today, ever exploring for last-moment employment, I come across YOU. Have I truly encountered a member of your species who actually Gives a Shit? WORLD TRANSFORMATION, REALLY? Presidents and Religious Leaders of course are expected to leave such a legacy, or at least the effort. And I believe some really do care.
