10 Facts about the UAE, you may have missed in your local newspaper: - Since the independence from the British invasion, UAE economy has grown over 300 times, And 70% of that growth wasn’t from Oil export; It was from trading, tourism and foreign investments. - UAE Sovereign Wealth ( Savings of the country), is the biggest in the world, even bigger than KSA, or the United States ( again not from oil) and it is estimated more than 600 billion dollars. - UAE GDP (which means any product produced inside the country and brings money) is around $350 Billion a year. - The government spending ( the expenses of the UAE) is $6 Billion a year, which means, if tomorrow UAE decided not to trade or whole economy of the world collapse, (the savings) mentioned above is enough to sustain the country for the next 100 years, again no petrol , no oil. - Unemployment rate in UAE is less than 3%, and among nationals is less than 2%. but the year 2017 it would be 0.. yes you heard me 0 !!! - The UAE was the first arab country to boycott Israel and until now the only Arab county still doing so because of the unfairness act of the israeli government against palestinian people - Sheikh Zayed created (Abu Dhabi Funds for Arab Economic Development) which one of its goal to dedicate 10% of the country income surplus ( extra money they dont need now) to fund projects in less fortunate countries that faced disasters. - One of the main objectives of Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 ( action plan),is to empower women in all fields. UAE is the only country which has acknowledged equal pay right between woman and man ( europe or America dont have that , just an FYI, if you dont believe me read more) - The UAE was elected for the UN human rights council in the next three year ( which means it has one of the strongest human rights records in the region. - UAE is one of the 12 countries in the world with no income tax on individuals.
