$100 Smart & Final Giveaway The countdown in on! 11 days left to get ready for Christmas! I have no idea when I am going to find the time to get everything ready. I know one stop on my long list is Smart & Final because it is the perfect one-stop shopping location for the holidays. There are so many brands to choose from and I can buy in bulk if I need to. I have also noticed that their prices are substantially lower than traditional grocery stores, allowing you and me to save money during the busy holiday season! Smart & Final sent over some exclusive recipes and this one sounded so yummy! I have added the ingredients to my shopping list! 5-CHEESE BACON MAC N’ CHEESE Recipe Courtesy of Jamie Gwen ~ chefjamie The most lusciously delicious comfort food you’ll ever taste~ 1 pound La Romanella small pasta shells For the Topping: 1/2 cup First Street Japanese bread crumbs (Panko) 1/2 cup grated Parmigiano Reggiano 1/2 cup shredded white Cheddar cheese 3 tablespoons First Street unsalted butter, melted For the Filling: 5 tablespoons First Street unsalted butter 3 tablespoons First Street all-purpose flour 3 cups First Street whole milk 1 cup (8 ounces) shredded white cheddar cheese 1 cup (8 ounces) First Street shredded Monterey Jack cheese 1/2 cup (4 ounces) grated Gruyere cheese 1/4 cup (2 ounces) crumbled goat cheese 2 tablespoons First Street crumbled Blue cheese 6 strips First Street bacon, cooked until crisp and chopped Tradewinds Salt & freshly ground pepper, to taste Serves 6 Directions: Cook the pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain well. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Butter a 9×13 casserole dish. Combine the panko crumbs, Parmigiano, Cheddar and melted butter and set aside. In a large pot over, medium heat, Melt the butter. Add the flour and cook, stirring often for 2 minutes to create a roux. Slowly add the milk, whisking constantly, and bring the mixture to a simmer. The Béchamel Sauce will thicken as it cooks. Reduce the heat and add the white cheddar cheese, Jack cheese, Gruyere cheese and the goat cheese. Stir slowly until all the cheeses to melt completely. Add the blue cheese and cooked pasta and stir until combined. Stir in the cooked bacon. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Pour the macaroni and cheese into the prepared pan and spread the Panko mixture evenly over the top.
