***100 days vegan?*** Ok... So I did the 30 day vegan detox and was enjoying the experience so much that I decided to extend it to 50 days challenge. After 50 days I was still reluctant to have any animal based foods and kept thinking.. Shall I challenge myself and do more of this? Curious to see where this journey would take me if I carry on to, say, 100 days.. So, 100 days vegan challenge it is!!!:) This time round though I want to look a bit deeper into what I should eat and why. Loving the educational aspect of this journey and trying to do research on various vegan foods and ingredients. This morning I realized I hadnt had flaxseed in my food for a while now! So decided on fruity&nutty musli with fruit and a soya milk+flaxseed+vanilla Complete mix. Flaxseed is an amazingly rich plant based source of Omega-3 fatty acids. I used to eat loads of salmon and get it from there, but while on vegan challenge - flaxseed is my perfect swap:) In fact, flaxseed provides 10 times more Omega-3 than oily fish believe it or not:) and on top of that flaxseed provides essential proteins, vitamins, minerals, dietary fibre, natural antioxidants lignans and other fatty acids (Omega 6 and Omega 9). So thats vegan me sorted:) #day55of100vegan
