12/1-2015 SA One thing thats very different here is the boat launching - first of all, we bring the boat down to the beach every morning, that in it selfs quite a challenge! Everybody helps, first we need to position the zodiac in the right angel, then push it out to the waves. Luckily Im in the beach/shallow end, but now we all know why James was a perfect instructor for us - less than 10 boxes of beer in height wont survive the front/deep end! After floating all girls gets on board, when the boys starts drowning they can climb up too - we always bring an extra guest, just in case not everybody makes it - but hey you win some, you loose some :-) All on board and safety jackets on fast for the surf zone! 5 minutes later we are in deeper water and life jackets can go. Its a complete new feeling - our captain Brayton who has been navigating this waters for more than 10 years rides the waves, so you feel you are on a surf board or in one of the slides in Waterboom, its really fun. To make really sure he entertain the guests he brings with him Anne Mari - shes fully in charge of telling us when theres a wave coming - shes quite busy as you guess a bit the same as being in a Balinese tourist bus, where the bus boy screams left and right every time the road has a curve. Ive alway been wondering what would happen if it wasnt for those co drivers - would the bus just keep going straight or??? On the boat I know for sure Anne Marie would fall off :-) gotta love you girl! On the way back we do full speed towards the beach, so we nearly bring the boat up to the DC........way to go Brayton, full respect for our captain. Another thing that is quite unique here is Pieters hand signals! Believe me Robin, way worse than mine! As soon as you think he saw a big tiger shark going to the toilet, all he did mean to tell you was his life story, combined with some pinnacles that took a boat and 40 divers and a mouse down or something like that? Another big thing we did today was sorting out our Idc schedule, so now I can proudly an once that our first Idc will start up on the 9th. Of May with ie dates on the 27th. Of May - why those dates?? Hmm its defiantly not because the Cd wants to be here for the Sardine run at all :-) already happy to welcome Andre to his Idc, its going to be amazing and I promise to teach you how to open bottles with your eyebrow ! On the other side you Andre then have to promise to bring mouth harmonica you have, but cant play on :-) another booking is from James, he misses the theory and classroom so much that he have signed up for his Staff Instructor, for you James Ill promise to try and keep you awake..... Have an awesome day everybody, I do! Reporting Minni SA (Pictures from launching and captain Brayton in action).
