#12105 - Today in the Business Atrium, a man was handing out pencils with a note attached explaining he was deaf and wanted money so he could support himself and his family. When he went to collect the money, he gave a rude gesture to a girl that didnt donate anything to him. First of all. You are not entitled to any money. Secondly, you are panhandling to students, who for the most part, do not have a steady income and are making ends meet. I have no sympathy for people that are capable of finding jobs and resort to soliciting in universities. Personally, I have worked with a deaf/mute lady and she was perfectly capable of her job. Instead of making students uncomfortable and expecting students to pay for your bills, make an effort to do something with your life.
