#1251: Thereve been many posts in the past few days regarding the onam celebration screw-up. First of all let me say this, as a CS student I hold no grudge over the mechanical branch. How does that in any way justify what happened at Onam? Lets recap what happened. Us CS students where minding our own business, cheering, celebrating when you guys because of some ridiculous reason just had to come over there and compete with us with your cheering and howling. Avideyum njangal compromise cheythu. We left, realising that this would eventually lead to an unnecessary fight. It was then that some of you started howling and singing Ayyo poye...CS poyee. Really? What exactly did you expect us to do? CSil aanungal illennano vicharam? Ningale pole kallu kudichu alambunna aanungal illa, sammathichu. Our seniors have a slightly better standard than that. And even if we do drink, we know very well to hold our liquor. For someone who calls themselves RUM you guys should be able to do that too. Just felt like getting this point across because lately it felt like only one side of the story was being acknowledged. And to all mechies, we just want to say this. We respect you guys and we realize that most of you are sensible enough to not start unnecesary fights. Please try to control the half-witted members of your branch(as we are doing with ours).
