TONIGHTS SCRIPTURE.Friends love through all kinds of weather, and families stick together in all kinds of trouble.(Proverbs 17:17 MSG) Friendship is a powerful force that guarantees success! Failure is an orphan. If you know how to keep friends, you will become a success in whatever you do. Your success in life is determined by how good you are at making friends and keeping them. If you have a habit of negatively surprising your friends and those you relate with, you will live a lonely life and even God said it is not good for man to be alone. The first negative surprise that destroys friendship is selfishness. Everyone detests selfish people! Selfishness is evident when all you look out for in a friendship or relationship is what you will gain. Friendships do not last when you are selfish. Being a fair weather friend is also a negative surprise. The opening scripture says a friend loves at all times; through thick and thin,in bad,good and rough times. A wise man said a friend in need is a friend indeed! Do not turn your back on your friends in their dark hours when they need you most. Just like Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus, betrayal is one of the worst negative surprises one can experience from friends . It is devastating to see people you call yor friends turnaround and stab you in the back. It is worse when they divulge your secrets and fight you publicly. Gossip,tale-bearing and backbiting are anti friendship spirits spoken about in the Bible and they cause negative surprises. In order to enjoy divine surprises this month and beyond, you must avoid surprising others negatively You will keep your friends if you forgive them, but you will lose your friends if you keep talking about what they did wrong. (Proverbs 17:9 CEV). Un-forgiveness in friendships and relationships is a major hindrance to enjoying divine surprises. Talking about your friends wrongdoing repeatedly will surprise them negatively and eventually destroy your friendship. Friendship is a family union and like the opening scripture says you should stick together in all kinds of trouble. Be fair to your friends, especially your neighbours. Tonights Response.
