The Seattle Seahawks will be appearing in the playoffs for a third straight season behind the leadership of QB Russell Wilson, who has officially eclipsed the 3,000 yards passing mark for the third straight year while also threatening to rush for 1,000 yards for the first time. The debate will continue to rage on whether or not Wilson is an elite quarterback, but his recent play has even provoked CBS football writer Pete Prisco to admit he is a special player. Considering how much Prisco and many other football pundits have criticized Wilson during the early stages of his career and said he won games mainly because of Seattles defense, it appears the media may finally be buying into Wilson as a top five quarterback. Still, there remains plenty of skeptics who disagree with that claim and point out his struggles earlier this season as sufficient evidence that he does not belong in that exclusive group with the likes of Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady.
