14-August-1947, the day when the colonisation of South Asia - TopicsExpress

14-August-1947, the day when the colonisation of South Asia changed forms from direct colonial rule to neo-colonization, where ideological dominance was to be perpetrated through the use of financial strings and mass culture. In its true sense, the #Muslims of this region never really achieve any independence from western or Hindu domination as such. In #Pakistan today, #Indian movies reign supreme and never does a year pass by without it being mentioned that a record number of #Pakistanis immigrating overseas to those same English speaking countries, whose past generations ruled South Asia for around a hundred years. Most of our political and economic decision making over the last 65 years have been made in Saudi Arabia, #Dubai, #London and the US. Independence was really not achieved on 14/08/1947 and in my view, this day should be reckoned more as a day when neo-colonization took over the traditional forms of British rule. The logic on the basis of which Pakistan was created is still disputed by historians and hence the ignorant lie of Pakistanis being independent, should not be perpetrated through the mass media on August 14 every year.
