1512 EST 04 JAN 2015 Winter Weather Update We continue to monitor the potential for snowfall Monday night into the day on Tuesday. On the heels of this event, a much colder airmass will settle into the region. Currenty, snowfall looks likely as we progress into the overnight hours on Monday into the first half of your Tuesday. Surface temperatures will be supportive of accumulation, particularly on grassy surfaces as paved surfaces achieve supportive temperatures in short time. Tuesday morning may present some travel headaches, so please be prepared to rise early on Tuesday in preparation for your morning commute. At this time, 1-3 inches look possible with isolated higher amounts, particularly to the north and west of Cincinnati proper. Winter Weather Advisories may be hoisted within the next 18 hours as this system approaches. After the snowfall on Tuesday with highs in the middle 20s, the coldest airmass we have seen since last February and March will settle in. Overnight lows on Tuesday night will fall into the single digits with fairly widespread cloud cover with partial clearing by early morning. Wednesday will see highs barely eclipsing the single digits with overnight lows falling below zero. As the cold air punches into the region, wind chills will likely respond with wind chills being in the -5 to -15 range at times overnight Wednesday. This is a situation which is still subject to change, so keep it right here at Severe Weather Concepts for the very latest on this wintery weather situation. -Corey
