【168古董轩 Vintage Collection】 [14/07/2014] [拍卖帖子 Post 2]： 这版古币都是当时意大利的紧急硬币補币，因为当时铸造币时期，镍是非常珍贵的军工产业。适逢一战刚结束严重缺乏镍原料，意大利当局唯有把老币拿来重铸。有些币面依然可见老币原有的图纹，所以有种图纹重叠现象。这种稀少版历史见证币，能够收藏到真的是难能可贵。 Item:【1918 Italy 20 Centesimi - Vittorio Emanuele III】 Country: Italy Number: KM# 58 Year: 1918-1920 Value: 20 Centesimi (0.20 ITL) Metal: Copper-nickel (75% Cu - 25% Ni) Weight: 3.90 g Diameter: 21.3 mm Thickness: 1.4 mm Obverse: Crowned Savoia Shield between twisted branches of laurel and oak. Up the motto: REGNO DITALIA Below the initials of the engraver NOTE: These have to be considered as emergency coins, since they were minted in years when nickel was very precious for military industries. For not to waist the nickel were used the previous 20 centesimi coins (km# 28) withdrawn from circulation as base metal to overstruck these new coins. For this reason many coins have signs of the design of the previous km# 28. The more these signs are clear and well defined the more valued is the coin. Lettering: REGNO DITALIA A.M. Reverse: Value and date of coin within an hexagon. The hexagon is surrounded by a laurel wreath. The mintmark is below the date Lettering: CENT. 20 1918 R Edge: Smooth or reeded, the image shows both edge types.
