1994 Rock Port Boys Final Four Team honored at Mizzou Arena The 20th Anniversary Courtside Traditions program recognized and congratulated the 1994 Rock Port Boys Final Four team, coaches, managers and athletic director at the Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Mo. on March 15, during halftime of the 12:50 p.m. Class 1 Boys Championship game. This is the only boys team from Rock Port to ever make it to the State Final Four. They had a season record of 26-4, which still stands as the school record for the most wins. The boys coached by Tom Bock and Assisted by Wayne Moore were 275 Conference Champions, District, Regional, Sectional and Quarterfinal Champions. They lost by 1 point, 66- 67, in the Semi-Final game to Lockwood, the eventual State Champions. They fell to New Franklin in the 3rd Place game to bring home a 4th Place finish. They were all invited to gather with their families and friends at Mizzou Arena in the Sparky Stalcup Room prior to the 12:50 game. Several Blue Jay fans stopped by to congratulate those that were down for the games. School records set and held by the 1994 team: Most wins in a season- 26 Most points scored in a game - 108 - against South Holt Total points scored - 2,189 Average points/game- 73 Most rebounds 1,082 Most 3-pt fg made- 13 - against Tarkio Best 3-pt season- 37.5% Most ft made - 31 - against South Nodaway 1994 State final four team included Jase Runkles, Clint Gayler, Jamie Thomas, Danny Palmer, Barry Fentiman, Waylon Ross, Michael Phelps, Cory Scamman, Tyler Gebhards, Zack Smith, Tad Gebhards, Curt Christians, Phil Eilers, and Dan Croy.
