~*~ 19th November 2013: Chiron stations direct in Pisces ~ The Wound of Reason ~*~ via Just Channeling ~*~ Today Chiron stations direct in Pisces after five months retrograde. Chiron, which corresponds in part with the wounded healer archetype, reminds us that within the more painful aspects of our lives we can find the pearl of healing which can change our life forever; that it is not by avoiding the pain that we are healed, but by facing and knowing it in all its many guises. For in doing so we finally come to know that there is nothing more to fear. Chiron in Pisces speaks of desire to avoid the pain of individuation, the demand to create something of ourselves, in favour of a boundary-less sense of self which knows only dissolution. When under the influence of this Chiron placement we may seek to transcend the domain of identity and ego before we have properly traversed it, creating all kinds of confusion about who we are and what we need to do with our lives. The desire to escape the density of this material realm and life in this human body may be overwhelmingly powerful causing us to seek whatever escape we can, be it through substance use, denial and avoidance of responsibility or alignment with teachings and beliefs which tell us we belong elsewhere and are merely waiting to go home. Thus our life remains half-lived as we await the time when we can be where we belong, away from the pain of this particular realm into which we have been born. As Chiron stations direct it alerts us to the influence of these feelings and reminds us that they speak of a wound in need of healing and a spirit in need of solace. It is not that we are in the wrong place or the wrong time, merely that we are still in a process of adjustment to where we find ourselves. We are still incarnating, even as we seek to do the opposite to escape the harshness of the incarnate realm. And in an alliance between Mercury and the North Node today, we receive the support of ancient wisdom which comes down to us through the ages reminding us that we are part of something far greater than we can possibly conceive and to merely seek escape from where we find ourselves now fails to honour the responsibilities placed in our hands and the challenges we have already overcome. We are each here for a reason. Whether or not we perceive that reason in terms of a pre-ordained process or an existential construct, we still embrace reason and purpose as a way to give life meaning. And this week the heavens ask us to reflect upon the reason with which we align ourselves and examine what makes it so compelling. Because if the compulsion arises from a desire to escape the present moment and the everyday conditions of our lives the reason may itself be a wound in need of healing. If, however, our reason brings us into the present moment in all its fullness and enables us to live it from a place of openness and wisdom we may be living on the other side of reason, where purpose becomes presence and the only thing which matters is this moment now and how we can best live it fully as a vibrant and conscious presence upon this beautiful planet. Chiron stationing direct encourages these reflections and invites an openness of heart and mind which can see through to the wound and embrace the possibility of its healing. For only in recognising that we do not need to be anywhere or anyone else to heal, can we truly begin the process that will set us free.
