20 Tips to remind yourself when you start feeling Angry 1. Taking TIME OUT – Agree a time when you will return though. 2. Always express yourself by sharing your feelings first – I feel… rather than You Should! 3. Being assertive not passive aggressive nor active aggressive. 4. Always consider the consequences of you actions before opening your mouth. 5. Reach out for support, use your anger buddy. 6. Your body will always tell you when you are angry and stressed. Use it as a resource. 7. The 5 Minute Rule – if its not going to matter after 5 minutes then let it go. 8. Breath Love in for 7 seconds… breath Love out for 11 seconds…. 9. Let’s try starting the conversation again, without it turning into an argument 10. Let go of your expectations of how you should be, how the other person should be. 11. LISTEN… take it in turns to speak. 12. Ask yourself what are projecting onto the other person? (Shadow Projection) 13. Keep your emotional tank full, prioritize your emotional needs. 14. train yourself to sit in the discomfort of your feelings. 15. Delay gratification – practice patience and remaining present. 16. Be Authentic. Be Assertive. 17. Remain free of oppositional thinking – right/wrong, good/bad, should/shouldn’t. 18. Be Empathetic (see the other persons point of view). 19. Agree to disagree – It’s okay to have a different opinion. 20. Resolve conflict in a structure way.
